The following recipes or as Aromatherapists would call them, blends are just suggestions and can be adapted to your own individual likes. When blending please ensure that you use clean utensils when mixing. We use sterile wooden spatulas but a teaspoon that has had boiling water poured over it will be fine.
Dry Skin
Benzoin, chamomile Roman, geranium, jasmine, lavender, neroli, patchouli, rose, sandalwood, ylang ylang
Any three of these can be put into a cream or a carrier oil to use to improve dry skin.
In 50ml of cream add 5 ml of jojoba for even better effect on the skin.
To this add 20 drops in total of three of the essential oils.
Benzoin 10 drops, geranium 4 drops, neroli 6 drops (2% dilution)
Cream to help reduce a bruise
50ml pot or 50ml measuring beaker
50ml cream or 30ml of cream + 20ml aloe vera
Hyssop 10 drops
Black pepper 5 drops
Lemon 5 drops
(2% dilution)
1. Put the cream or the cream and aloe vera into the clean container
2. Carefully drip the right number of drops of each essential oil into the cream - care as some will come out very quickly.
3. Stir the cream and essential oils together until thoroughly mixed.
Put the mixture into a clean 50ml pot and seal.
Label the pot so you know what is in it and put the date on it and use it within 2 months.
